Project Recovery Home
It is not only our greatest desire to lead others in their path to recovery, but also to shrink our footprint on our beautiful planet. RIA was able to acquire 5 fully functional trailers, along with a solar-powered cabin and renovated barn apartment that serve as the lodging for our clients while they are starting their journey into recovery.
Evolving for a more permanent, and planet-friendly future.
We have designed a series of homes using recycled shipping containers as the base. -WHAT!- That is right, using recycled shipping containers, we would like to build a more permanent, planet-friendly housing alternative than the trailers we have now. The trailers often need repairs and renovations to stay a comfortable living space. Those costs keep us from providing another 'God Bed' for someone in need.
By changing the type of building we house our clients in, we can cut unnecessary costs and extend our help into a more vast portion of our communities. This project has some fairly hefty upfront costs and we need your help in order to shoulder that load. Project Recovery Home will eventually be able to house 12 residents at a time upping our total capacity by four. Four people in need every seven months (average). Those people are the homeless on the streets, the fathers who need to fix their lives for their families, the women who have nowhere left to turn. They are your family members, your friends, and could very well be you. We need to acquire 6 large-sized shipping containers, concrete for their base, windows, furniture, and much more. We have priced our goal at $30,000, a small cost to help save someone's life.
